Obtaining your Driver's License:
If you are under 18, you are required to complete all
coursework and behind the wheel instruction, required by the
Illinois' Office of the Secretary of State.
After
successful completion of driver's education you may go to the
nearest driver's services facility, to obtain your driver's license.

In order to get a driver's license, you must take the following with
you: |
A)
Letter
of Completion: After successful completion of driver's education, All Suburban
Driving School will file for a letter of completion with the Secretary of State's office
in Springfield. The letter will arrive 2 - 3 weeks after completion of the
program.
You
must present the letter of completion to obtain your driver's license.
B) 50 Hour log of driving
hours.
C) Your Instructional Driving Permit
D)
A certified copy of your birth certificate ( The birth certificate must have
raised stamp or colored seal )
OR
A VALID PASSPORT.
If you need a copy of your birth certificate,
you must call the county office, in which
you were born...
E) Your social
security card.
F)
Eyeglasses or
contacts if you wear them.
G) Something
with your current address on it, for example:
1. Bank book or statement
2. Magazine subscription
3. Bills or other letters received
4. Insurance policy
5. Identification card
H) Something
with your signature on it, for example:
1. Credit card
2. Identification card
3. Valid passport
4. Social security card
Take all of the above items to
your nearest Secretary of State Driver Services Facility.
You will need to take a road test to obtain your license: |
